The three-day presentation of the book

For the third year in a row, the presentation of the book “Writers in the Yard” organized by the Central Public Library of Kalamata in cooperation with the “Bibliopolis” bookstore took place with great success.

The events took place in the atrium of the library on the 4th floor of the Spiritual Center, and the public of Kalamata had the opportunity to watch the presentation of three newly published books by three famous Greek authors, listen to excerpts and talk with them.

In particular, on Thursday, June 20, the presentation of the book “Amalia’s Garden” by Karolina Mermigas took place. Professor Giorgos Andriomenos, dean of the School of Humanities and Cultural Studies of the Peloponnese University and the author himself, spoke about the book. The event was coordinated by Magda Sulioti, director of the Kalamata Public Central Library. Excerpts from the book were read by philologist/amateur actress Evelyn Scarpalezou.

On Friday, June 21, the presentation of Alexandra K*’s book “What Maryam Astsvatsatsin thinks while secretly smoking in the bathroom” took place. Effie Pratis talked with the author, and the author himself read parts.
