The comedy “Mono Klama” will be screened at Filmhouse // New Cinema Club of Kalamata tomorrow, Thursday, July 18.
Two friends end up in a remote train station on the outskirts of Tuscany after their car breaks down. They find shelter in an inn for the night, where they realize that they have been transported to the depths of the 15th century. So begins a fantastic journey through time, full of jokes and twists, meant for love of course.
Two legends of Italian cinema, Roberto Benini and Massimo Troisi, join forces to create, as both script and director, a violent and subversive situation comedy cut and sewn to suit them.
The two main characters shared in a joint interview that the filming took twice as long because the cast and crew couldn’t hold back their laughter.
The film was a box office hit when it was released in Italy and is an overlooked comedy gem in our parts.
